QUESTIONS REGARDING ROOMBOOKING

What is the age limit in house?
The age limit in house is 20 years, or 18 years with a valid students certificate from any higher education institution or folk high school. On Fridays and Saturdays, the age limit is 20 for everyone at the 3rd floor. This includes Storelogen, Stillhet and Støy.

 

Only a limited amount of guardian arrangements at selected concerts at Kvarteret is allowed. Fill in and send in a guardian form to get the guardian arrangement approved. The guardian arrangement has to be approved and settled at least one week before the concert.

 

Valid students certificates are:

  • Students certificate from a higher education (e.g. HVL or UiB)
  • Valid certificate from Forsvarets Commanders School or mandatory conscription
  • Valid certificate of apprenticeship
  • Valid folk high school certificate

Do we have to pay for the booking?
Students organizations book rooms for free, but has to sign a brukerkontrakt. Organizers of events where the profits from the ticket sale will be donated to charity, or charitable purposes, also book rooms for free. We support volunteer organizations with heavily discounted prices. Contact us at booking@kvarteret.no for a custom price offer for your specific event.

 

Can we bring food from outside Kvarteret? 
It's not allowed to enjoy food or drink brought in from outside Kvarteret, however refreshments can be bought in our café, Stjernesalen. Alcohol brought from in from outside is not allowed either.

 

Catering
The in-house kitchen has a wide selection of snakcs and drinks for all kinds of events. When booking a room, it is also possible to send a specific request to our kitchen manager. We do not run catering out of house.

 

Who staffs the bar at our events?
The regular bars are always open with our open hours, but if your event has more than 40 participants, you have to have a staffed bar in the room you've booked. Kvarteret usually staffs the bar at your event for some payment, but because of staff shortage, organizers have to staff the bar at their own events. Kvarteret will supply the organizer with necessary training.

 

Need lights or sound?
Kvarteret has its own sound- and lightgroup called Kraftetaten. If you want their help on your event, then this can be added as a request in the booking form. Particular sound- and light requests must be announced to Kvarteret art least 2 weeks prior to the event.

 

What demands do we have to HMS?
New organizers will get a HMS-walkthrough at arrival. Larger events must receive a firewatch walkthrough with the HMS manager. All people in charge, bar personnel, fireguards, etc., can not be under the influence of alcohol or other drugs before or during the event.

 

How do i promote my event?
When you promote an event that will be held at Kvarteret, our logo must be used at promotionevents. If you want to promote through our channels, you can contact us at pr@kvarteret.no.

 

Sell your own tickets?
Det Akademiske Kvarter has registers and whatever you should need to sell tickets for your event at the door. For more information, contact us at kasse@kvarteret.no.
